How it works

Four steps, about a minute, a cleaner street.

  1. Spot it, snap it

Tap the camera on the map and photograph what you picked up.

  2. Log what you found

Cans, butts, bottles, wrappers: 20 litter types, and where you found them.

  3. Earn XP

It lands straight away. Unlock buddies, hats, held props and medals.

  4. Hold your suburb

Most cleanups controls the suburb. Out-clean the champion to take it.

Anywhere in Australia

Every beach, park and creek counts.

Real suburbs are the zones, from the Kimberley to Hobart. Clean up where you live, or wherever the road takes you.

Inside the app

A map you'll want to clean.

The map: clean up litter and earn XP. Suburbs on the map, shaded by who controls them. Your territory: every suburb you hold. A wombat buddy in 3D, with its bond level. The store: native buddies to unlock with XP. Your ranger, with free skin tones and hair colours. The daily quiz on litter and nature. Your impact: pieces collected by material.

Your crew

27 native buddies.

Start with a quokka, kangaroo, kookaburra or possum. Earn XP to unlock the rest, meet each one in 3D in its own habitat, and grow your bond by cleaning up together.

Something new every day

Small habits, kept fun.

  • A daily quiz: five questions on litter, recycling and Australian wildlife
  • Daily quests and a streak with personal bests
  • A weekly recap card of your cleanups, ready to share
  • Leaderboards: global, state, local and crew, all-time or this week
  • Hundreds of landmarks across Australia to discover on the map
  • Pin litter you can't carry, and another player earns a bonus for cleaning it up
  • Find public bins and your state's container refund points

Privacy first.

  • Your exact location is never stored. It is coarsened to about 100 metres before anything is saved.
  • Photos are re-encoded on arrival, which strips the location your phone embeds. They are never shown to other players.
  • No real name, email or phone number needed.
  • Delete your account and everything in it, any time, from Settings.

Read the privacy policy

Safety built in.

  • Checks the weather before you head out, and warns about wind, storms and heat.
  • Needles, chemicals and broken glass earn no XP. The app says don't touch them, and to report them instead.
  • Under 16? Clean up with an adult.

See you on the beach.
